About La Lydie
La Lydie is a sweet, feminine perfume. When you smell the fragrance, words such as spring, flowers, but also modesty come to mind. This is translated to the design of the perfume bottle. Thanks to the inward bending, organic shape and vertical orientation, the bottle has a feminine appearance. The divergent shape of the cap gives the association with a flower. The entire perfume bottle is eleven centimeters high, which gives the bottle a modest and unobtrusive appearance.
The Assignment
La Lydie's design assignment was part of the design classes during my studies at Windesheim. We were given a sample of a perfume, without us knowing which perfume it was. The assignment consisted of designing a perfume bottle that matches this scent sample in terms of its materials, textures and overall design.
